After a little bit of faffing about and changing of days, the Mapping Elf has been hard at work, and we do now have a map available to download. You will find it on the imaginatively titled Map page!
As is traditional, our first window appeared yesterday at Uppermill Methodist Centre, 4 candles, fitting this year’s theme of Christmas Lights. As you can see, the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders of 20th Oldham Uppermill Methodist Scout Group had a hand in creating the window!
The windows have all been allocated, we have a mixture of traditional favourites and some great new participants. So this week it’s all about the map. It will be available to download from here later in the week.
I’ve been a bit remiss the last few years, mostly relying on our presence on Facebook (Uppermill Advent) and Twitter (@uppermilladvent) to tell people about what we are up to, but this year we are gearing up the old website as well. With a sleek new look, and lots of plans to make this year better than ever. If you think that decorating a window and spreading a bit of Christmas cheer is an idea that you can get behind, then please get in touch.
It wouldn’t be Advent if I didn’t have to do the map twice! Our most up to date version is now available to download – there’s nothing in the way of major changes – just a change of where to stand to see one window, and with the addition of The Shaws to this year’s calendar, a note that those are windows probably best visited on foot.
